Search “marketing agency in Khobar” and you will find dozens of options, from freelancers to large agencies with offices in Dammam and Riyadh. Most business owners end up choosing by the look of an Instagram feed or the lowest monthly price. Both tell you very little about whether your sales will grow.
These are the questions we would ask if we were in your seat.
1. Do they ask about your business before they quote?
A price sent after one WhatsApp message is a price for posts, not for results. A serious partner asks about your margins, your best-selling products, your busy and slow seasons and who your competitors are before naming a number.
2. What are they promising to move?
“12 designs and 4 reels a month” is an output. Bookings, orders, leads or visits to the branch are outcomes. Ask which number they will report on every month, and how they will measure it.
3. Who owns the accounts and the files?
Your ad accounts, your social pages and the original design and video files should be yours. If an agency runs ads from its own account, you lose the history and the data the day you leave.
4. Can they show work in your industry, with numbers?
Portfolios show taste. Case studies show judgement. Ask for one example close to your business with the starting point, what was done and what changed. For restaurants, see how we took Moharram Bek into the Saudi market.
5. Who will actually handle your account?
Meet the person you will talk to every week, not only the person who sells. Ask how fast they reply, on which channel, and who reviews the strategy above them.
6. Do they cover more than social media?
Growth in the Eastern Province rarely comes from posting alone. Google Maps, your website, paid ads, offers, the sales team answering WhatsApp and the in-store experience all decide whether a lead becomes a customer.
7. How is the contract structured?
A minimum of three months is reasonable, because strategy and testing need time. Twelve months locked in with no review point is not. Check notice periods, what happens to unfinished work and how ad spend is paid.
8. How do they report?
A monthly report should explain what happened, why, and what changes next month. A screenshot of likes is not a report.
9. What do they say no to?
A good agency will tell you when an idea will waste money. If everything you suggest is “excellent”, you are paying for agreement, not expertise.
