Many restaurant owners judge their ads by the number of likes or views. Those numbers are easy to grow and easy to report, but they rarely tell you whether the ads filled a single table. Good restaurant advertising starts by deciding what a result actually is.

Decide what counts as a result

Depending on the restaurant, a result might be a delivery order, a table booking, a call, a WhatsApp message or a request for directions on Google Maps. Pick the two or three that matter most for your business and make every campaign answer to them.

Make results measurable

  • Use separate links for each campaign so you know which ad brought each order.
  • Track calls, WhatsApp clicks and direction requests from your Google Business profile.
  • Use simple offer codes or campaign-specific menu items for in-branch visits.
  • Connect your website and booking tools to analytics so bookings are counted, not guessed.

Calculate return on ad spend

Return on ad spend (ROAS) is the revenue a campaign brings in divided by what it cost. If 1,000 SAR of ads brings in 5,000 SAR of orders, the ROAS is 5×. It is not the only number that matters, since a first visit can turn into years of repeat business, but it keeps everyone honest about what the budget is doing.

Fix the experience, not just the ad

Ads amplify whatever is already there. Slow replies on WhatsApp, a confusing menu or poor photos on Google Maps will waste the budget no matter how good the creative is. Before scaling spend, make sure the path from ad to order is fast and clear.

An example

For Moharram Bek, campaigns were measured against real customers and revenue from the start. The result was a 32× return on ad spend, with more than 10,000 unique customers reached.
